Solar PV generates electricity much like a power station but on a smaller scale.
Cumulatively across a housing development this can result in large amounts of electricity being sent back to the grid so we submit an application to the Distribution Network Operator (DNO) prior to installation.
They will assess the local network and let us know if we can connect without issue or if we need to limit the amount of electricity which might feed back to the grid.
If limitation is required then we can fit devices to facilitate this.
