I started as a business development manager in 2013 and my initial role was mostly surveying and quoting for domestic retro fit installs when the Feed in Tariff scheme was available. My role then evolved into an account manager position, being responsible for Linden Homes and Barratt Homes regions in England.
I have also been involved with large 100 kW+ projects for commercial systems with councils and the NHS at Plymouth, Chelmsford and Stoke until 2016. From 2017 my role has solely been focused on new build housing, working with all house builders in England and Scotland.
My commercial and technical knowledge of solar PV and the construction industry has improved significantly since joining. We are a key part of the construction supply chain, and it is an ever-changing industry where PV will become an essential trade with the new Part L regulations coming in.
There has been lots of standout moments while I’ve been at Eco2Solar, but the most memorable is securing the Redrow Homes group deal in 2018 where we were appointed a solus agreement to do all their solar PV installs.
The culture here is really supportive and suggestions are always welcomed on how we can improve our processes. We have a great team and everyone is approachable and willing to help throughout all departments.
