Project Leader (Non-Standard Projects)

Starting Salary of £35,000 +

25 days holiday per year plus bank holidays

We are looking for a Project Leader to manage and be accountable for the successful completion of multiple non-standard solar PV projects.

The primary function of the Project Leader is to manage the interface between production, sales and the client to oversee complex/non-standard installations and projects.

The Project Leader works cross functionally with sales, design and production on non-standard projects to ensure that the Field Sales Team have no reason to get involved in project related tasks.

The Project Leader works with the Sales Team from original enquiry and works cross functionally on non-standard projects to see a project through from original concept to handover to the client.

The project leader is office based and acts as the conduit for all non-standard projects.

The key responsibilities:

  • To manage the interface between production, sales and the client on non-standard or complex projects.

  • To be the key contact for all non-standard projects and to work with all departments to ensure that every element of the project is pulled together from original quotation, to design, to production and installation/handover to the client.

  • To utilise colleagues within sales, field specialists, technical, design and production departments to ensure all non-standard projects are accurately costed, designed, scheduled and installed to a successful handover.

  • Non-standard projects would include any of the following buildings that we being quoted, designed, scheduled and installed by the company:

    • Commercial buildings/apartments

    • Flat roofs

    • Smart roofs

    • Cottage flats

    • Bespoke fixing systems

    • Battery storage installations

    • Other situations where the inverter is not being located in the loft space

The Project Leader would be responsible for overseeing the quotations, design, scheduling and production of these projects to ensure that each were costed, designed and installed to best practise standards and with a smooth handover to the client.

Our ideal Project Leader would have:
• Proven experience in project management
• Experience with the Solar industry or construction sector
• Proven track record in working cross-functionally to manage projects to a successful completion.
