18.4kWp Solar PV System: Festival HQ, Malvern

In June 2013 Eco2Solar installed an 18.4kWp solar PV system on the Festival HQ building in Malvern; as part of Festival Housing’s £1,000,000 investment in green energy over just three years.

Having already completed over 100 tenant properties and an 80kWp solar system at their Herefordshire care home, Eco2Solar were chosen to complete the prestigious installation at Festival’s head offices.

The solar array comprises eighty Suntech 230W modules, which are supported by two SMA Sunnyboy 10,000TL inverters.

The solar array is expected to produce 14,675kWh of renewable energy for the offices each year, which will save approximately 7,630kg of carbon annually.

Alongside the positive environmental impact, the solar energy will provide Festival with an annual income of £1,912 from the Government-backed Feed in Tariff scheme.

Following the solar installation, Festival Housing Asset Manager Simon Williams commented; “Festival Housing are extremely happy with the quality of the solar PV installation at our head offices in Malvern.

The solar system has sparked a lot of interest in the company, with many of our team members closely monitoring the reception display on a daily basis.
