Barratt London asked us to install 237 solar PV panels on apartment blocks in the desirable north London village of Mill Hill at Barratt London’s new development, Ridgeway Views.
Perched on a hilltop overlooking the rolling green fields of Totteridge Valley, Ridgeway Views offers a choice of spacious two and three-bedroom apartments and five-bedroom detached family homes.
However, the stunning village location caused some difficulties with deliveries due to a strict transport policy in the area. The access route was limited so we had to get around this problem quickly, incurring minor delays.
Coordinating with our dedicated operations team, we managed to arrange for goods to be delivered to the site in time for our crane slot to complete the installation. We managed this with minimal disruption to the timings at the site.
The solar PV needed to fit in with the modern aesthetic of the new build homes, which we achieved with sleek black flat-roof panels.
Barratt Homes Technical Manager, Scott, said: “This site has a strict access policy and we’ve had some issues with deliveries getting to us. Eco2Solar were extremely organised and worked with our team to determine any problems before arriving to the site, meaning the access issue was controlled in advance, giving me peace of mind that there would be no delays in the schedule.”
