Severn Leisure Centre
Severn Centre at Highley near Bridgnorth uses 60 Ecotube solar panels to heat a half Olympic sized outdoor swimming pool. They recently won a sustainability award from the Office of the Deputy Prime Minister. The system delivers almost 200kWh at peak on a typical June day. Eco2Solar recently upgraded the system to run all year round. The electronic controller will intelligently “share” the solar energy between the showers, small training pool and the main swimming pool.
